How to Get Windows Media Player to Play TS Files


Windows Media Player seems to be loading the .ts file but stays in that condition with nothing actually happening. Any solutions for me to play TS in Windows Media Player?
Actually, .TS files are not supported by Windows media player hence you cannot play those files using Windows media player. Two solutions for you:

Method 1: Download a codec pack to play the TS file

1.Download a codec pack which will allow you to play the TS file. The K-Lite Codec Pack, XP Codec Pack or Windows Essential Codecs Pack (see resources) are all examples of packs of codecs which will allow Windows Media Player to successfully play TS files.

2. Obey the instructions to install the codecs onto your Windows Media Player and allow you to play your TS file.

3. Double-click on the Windows Media Player icon to launch the media player. Click “File” then “Open.” Find your TS file and double-click it. The TS file will now play successfully in Windows Media Player.

Method 2: Convert .TS files to WMV format

A more reliable solution to get WMP to open and play TS files is to convert TS to Windows Media Player most friendly WMV format. Brorsoft Video Converter is a helpful tool for you to convert TS video to WMV for WMP efficiently.

Step 1. Load TS Videos

Step 3. Start conversion
