How to Transfer and Play VOB Files via TiVo device

It’s common for TiVo users to record television programs for viewing at spare time. Well, it’s also available to transfer some media files like MKV to TiVo, MP4, AVI, MOV from PC. However, when transferring VOB files to TiVo, some guys get stuck as the VOB file will not transfer as they expect. Our goal in this article is to share possible ways to transfer and play VOB via TiVo beautifully.

Method 1. Seems that they are simply MPEG-2 encoded video streams inside the VOB container file.  So, all you have to do is change the .VOB extension to .MPG and they will transfer beautifully to your Tivo and be available to play.

Method 2. If the above solution doesn’t work, you can simply turn to the second way. You’d probably consider converting the VOB files to straight MPEG-2 to be the “best” format. You can get Brorsoft Video Converter to complete the task.

Note: If VOB files are still in your DVD discs, or in VIDEO_TS folder, you need Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate for help. It’s a package tool that can help you convert BD, DVD and kinds of common video files.
